Chillin Wednesday

Today was a day spent mostly on the boat relaxing and sunbathing, unfortunately there appears to be an influx of jelly fish so have a cooling swim in the med was out of the question today, so for maximum cooling the only place to be was on the bow to catch the sea breeze, I must say there is no greater relaxation than being sat at the bow with a fishing rod, looking out at the deep blue sea and clear blue sky.
After sunbathing and the odd glass or two of cava your attention turns to eating, so time for a light salad and fresh bread.
Try this, it works. A jar of chick peas gently heated, add a couple of glugs of olive oil, add some finely chopped mild Spanish onion and the zest and juice of two lemons.mix it all together then add some chopped salami and tomato pieces, season to your taste, then add fresh chopped mint and basil, mix together and serve, simple and prefect for a light boat lunch.
I can tell you that using the fresh local produce really does make all the difference, the lemons came in a 5kg net for 1.8 euro, they were all shapes and sizes just picked, the tomatoes and onion were local and the mint and basil is from  plants I bought from the garden centre.
Following the lunch, more sunbathing and relaxation was the order of the day, aahh! Nice or what!
